STEP 1: From the Audit Dashboard, click on the New Audit button at the top right corner of the page if you already have existing audit reports in your dashboard. STEP 2: Select the type of audit you want to run. We will choose E-commerce Website Audit in this example. STEP 3: Enter the company name for which you want to perform the audit and click Add. STEP 6: If the website you are auditing is a WordPress website and you have access to the WordPress admin with permission to install a plugin, we highly recommend you enable the Technical WP Assessment. If you select Physical Address, the system will try to search for a Google Business Profile based on the company name you entered in the first step. You can either choose the company from the suggested list or you can search by company name again. If you don’t find the right company, you can click on the click here to skip this step link. If you select Service-Based, the system will try to search for service area-based businesses based on the company name and the location entered by you in earlier steps. You can either choose a company from the suggested list or you can update the company and location in the search to find the right company. If you don’t find the right company, you can click on the click here to skip this step link. STEP 8: If you have access to the website’s Google Analytics, you can connect your Gsuite account with My Web Audit and connect the GA4 property to the audit. Click on the toggle button to connect the GA4 property. Otherwise, you can keep the toggle Off and click on the Next button. STEP 9: If you would like to include Return on Investment calculations, you can click on the toggle button to turn on the feature and fill up the necessary information. Otherwise, you can keep the toggle off and click on the Run Audit button. STEP 10: This is the step where you decide whether to run the audit with just the automated points or include a manual assessment as part of the report. Including it only takes a few minutes and significantly increases the value of the report and your chance of closing the sale. If you only want to include the automated audit points, click the Run Audit button in the sidebar and wait for our app to notify you that the audit is ready. It usually takes less than 3-5 minutes to run the automated analysis. In this guide, we will run through the manual assessment as well. Clicking on the Begin Manual Assessment button will redirect you to the website you are auditing and automatically open our extension so you can perform the manual assessment. Please make sure that you have our Google Chrome extension installed. Clicking on the Begin Manual Assessment button will redirect you to the website and open our extension so you can verify and perform the manual assessment. The audit points are separated into different categories by default: Home Page Site Search Product Category Pages Product Listing Pages Product Detail Page Cart & Checkout Confirmation Page Tracking & Reporting Legal Important: It’s critical to note that all the points you see in the right sidebar require manual review & verification by you. You can do so by clicking on the toggle button for the audit point. STEP 7: Click the left side of the toggle button to mark the audit point as FAILED and the right side of the toggle button to mark the audit point as PASSED. A reset button will appear once the toggle button is clicked. Please note: The product listing page and product detail page require the page URLs. You can visit the pages and then click on the copy icon in the sidebar to copy the URL into the field. Please see the animation below. Note: The audit will never be emailed to anyone during this step. You will then be redirected to the dashboard, where the loader will appear for a few minutes till the audit is completed. Your next step should be to review the audit results and then use one of our done-for-you email templates to connect with your prospect or customer. Remember to deliver value before you sell. So unless you are slammed with leads and business, offer a strategy call or a free consultation session to cover the points you have uncovered vs. just emailing it over.
