Native Integrations — Integrate SendGrid

The purpose of this guide is to explain the process of how to integrate My Web Audit’s lead widgets with SendGrid. STEP 1: Create a new lead widget or edit an existing lead widget. Visit the Integrations tab and click on the Add Integration button. STEP 2: Search for SendGrid and click on the Add button. STEP 3: Get the API key from the SendGrid account. Please see the steps below on how to get the API key from your SendGrid account. STEP 3.1: Login to your SendGrid account. STEP 3.2: Click on API Keys under the Settings menu. STEP 3.3: Click on the Create API key button, select Restricted Access, select Marketing permission, and click on the Create & View button. STEP 4: Enter the account name and API key, then click on the Connect Account button. STEP 5: After successfully connecting your SendGrid account, you will be redirected to the next screen, where you can complete the integration. Please note: You will be required to select a list in the next step. If you do not have any lists under your SendGrid account, please see the steps below on how to create your first contact list. STEP 5.1: Click on Contacts under the Marketing menu. Click on the Create button and then select the New List option. STEP 5.2: Enter the list name and click on the Save List button. STEP 6: Select the list from the dropdown. STEP 7: Next, map the fields. Our app allows you to store the Website URL and Report URL. If you do not see the fields to map, you can create the fields under your SendGrid account. Please click here to learn how to create custom fields. STEP 8: Select the Website URL and Report URL fields from the dropdown. STEP 9: If you have enabled GDPR fields on your lead widget form, you will be able to map the fields for GDPR consent. STEP 10: If you have enabled the Custom Fields on your lead widget form, you will see the option to map them as well. STEP 11: Optionally, you can map the fields to store the UTM parameters in your SendGrid account. This way, if a user widgets on a page on your website with UTM parameters where you have My Web Audit’s lead widget installed, the lead widget will capture the UTM parameters and pass them to your CRM. STEP 12: Click on the Connect to SendGrid button. If you have any questions, please email support at support@mywebaudit.com.
